2009 Family Reunion, Gallup Hill Farm, Ledyard, CT

Picnic, Speaker and New Genealogy
	Our speaker was Rachel Branch, the new Gallup Family Association Secretary. She shared a personal family history through the presentation of excerpts from her great-great grandfather’s diaries. And she spoke about her great-great-great-great-great-grandfather, her great-grandfather, her grandmother and herself. The speech was written with the new Gallup Genealogy 2009 in mind and accented different aspects of each ancestor’s life. Her presentation intertwined her family history and its genealogy with the Gallup Family as a whole. It was very interesting to learn how his experiences are relevant in today’s economic and social climate. *Click to view »*

The 2010 reunion will be on Saturday, August 21st at the Denison Family Homestead in Mystic, Connecticut. As is our custom, we will meet on the 3rd Saturday in August. We will be announcing our guest speaker and other events for the day as plans are firmed up.
